The Government supports this recommendation in principle and has published its response to all the recommendations in the Strategy.

<p>Responsible agencies should:</p>
<ol style="list-style-type: lower-alpha;">
<li>Identify opportunities for more domestic reprocessing, including for plastics (especially e-waste), metals, fibreglass, plasterboard and aggregate.</li>
<li>Develop relevant technical specifications and national standards for the re-use of recycled construction materials in infrastructure.</li>
<li>Support innovation in, and the procurement of, infrastructure design and construction to enable a greater use of recyclable materials in infrastructure.</li>
</ol>
