The Government supports this recommendation and has published its response to all the recommendations in the Strategy.

<p>Target support to those disproportionately affected in the transition by:</p>
<ol style="list-style-type: lower-alpha;">
<li>Providing additional financial support to disadvantaged consumers to assist them with the upfront cost of investing in energy-efficiency improvements.</li>
<li>Supporting retraining for displaced workers.</li>
<li>Involving Māori and iwi in the development of specific energy hardship initiatives.</li>
